I have been weaving since 1984 and use various 4 and 8 harness looms ranging
in size from 10 inches to 46 inches wide. Some of the fibers that I enjoy
using are cotton, wool, mohair, and chenille. My creations include mug rugs
(coasters), scarves, shawls, placemats, table runners and rugs. I like using
many patterns in my weavings to create a distinctive look and have been
selling my weavings at several art fairs and galleries around Wisconsin since
1988. Some of the art fairs I have participated in include Cardinal Stritch
Mile of Art, Audubon Art Fair, Christmas Village, and Marion College Festival
of the Arts.
Besides art fairs, I exhibit my work in various gallery shows
including Wisconsin Handweavers, Ozaukee County Art Show, Cedarburg Artist
Guild Show, Sievers on Washington Island, WI and Wausau's Center for the
Visual Arts. I have taught many workshops on various weaving techniques and
as a member of Wisconsin Handweavers, Cedarburg Artists Guild, Ozaukee County
Art Committee and Midwest Weavers.
